Join the Environmental Education Department on Saturday, December 2nd for a fun, festive, family event- Saturday with Santa!

Dates: Fri, 11/24/2023 - 6:15pm - 8:00pm, Want to work off some of the turkey or treats; or just spend some time outdoors with other biking families? Join us as we take an evening ride along the Red House Bike Path. Meet at Camp Allegany at 6:15 pm with the ride starting at 6:30 pm.

Featuring Dr. Alison d'Amato and hosted by Gowanda's Historic Hollywood Theater, this recital will showcase some of "soprano's greatest hits" as well as a tune or two not-so-frequently heard live.

We will be making fun coil Christmas tree for you to display during the holiday season.

Dates: Fri, 12/08/2023 - 5:30pm - 7:30pm, Santa Claus will be back in the Town of Olean at his cottage in Lincoln Park.  Despite being so busy this time of year, Santa will wave at kids through the window of his cottage on December 8th and December 13th from 5:30-7:30 pm.

Dates: Sat, 12/09/2023 - 4:30pm - 7:00pm, Celebrate the Holiday Season with a Living Nativity, complete with a camel, all in the Village. The Ellicottvilles Christmas Stroll was created in 1987 by a group of citizens who wanted to organize such an event in the village.

Dates: Fri, 11/24/2023 - 6:00pm - 9:00pm, Take a trip back in time with a Victorian Christmas at the Fannie Bartlett House in Olean, the Friday after Thanksgiving. Watch the Santa Claus Lane Parade before or after touring this beautifully restored mansion built in 1881 with 15 rooms, including a third-floor ballroom.

Christmas in Ellicottville Weekend is back and will be merrier than ever!

Continue that feel good feeling by knowing that the registration fee supports the local food pantry and the Every Kid Deserves the Y fund!

With many of the region's best craft brewers, wineries and cideries in attendance you can sample your favorites, plus try out several new and unique flavors. Dates: Mon, 11/20/2023 - 11:00am - 12:00pm, The Onöhsagwë: de’ Cultural Center (OCC) invites the public to attend a gifting ceremony on Friday October 20, 2023, at 11am. For over 40 years the Gowanda Area Historical Society (GAHS) has had a leather jacket in their possession that according to them, is attributed to the famed Seneca long-distance runner Lewis “Deerfoot” Bennett.

Dates: Sat, 11/11/2023 - 10:00am - 3:00pm, Join in for a Veteran's Day craft show to get into the Christmas Spirit! There will be over 25 different vendors to shop from, where you can find a little bit of everything. It is always a great time to attend a craft and vendor show to support your local crafters and vendors. This event is free and open to the public.

There’s no fishing license required on those days for the fresh or marine waters of New York State, making it the opportune time for people of all ages to learn and enjoy the day.
